## FAQ
**Q1: Is this a professional Swiss-made demagnetizer?**
A: No — this is a **China-made aftermarket demagnetizer**. It is not manufactured by premium Swiss brands like Bergeon or Horotec. It offers **functional performance at an economical price point** for hobbyists and budget-conscious watchmakers.
**Q2: What is a demagnetizer used for?**
A: A **demagnetizer** removes **magnetism** from watch movements, tools, and steel parts. When a watch becomes magnetized (exposed to speakers, phones, magnets), it runs **fast or erratically**. Demagnetizing restores **accurate timekeeping** by eliminating the magnetic interference.
**Q3: How does a demagnetizer work?**
A: A demagnetizer generates an **alternating magnetic field**. You place the magnetized item in the field and **slowly withdraw it** while the field decays. This process **randomizes the magnetic domains** in the steel, effectively removing the net magnetism. The China Make 2321 follows this standard demagnetization principle.
