This is a China‑made professional scratch brush pen set consisting of three precision cleaning pens with different bristle materials: fiberglass, brass, and steel/nylon. Each pen is designed for specific applications such as removing oxidation, cleaning watch movements, polishing jewelry, or restoring electronic contacts. Compact and easy to handle, this set is a must‑have for watchmakers, jewellers, and technicians who need versatile abrasive tools for delicate cleaning tasks.
Three bristle materials:
Fiberglass pen: High hardness, wear‑resistant. Used for removing stubborn oxidation, rust, old coatings on metal surfaces, cleaning watch movement plates, circuit board solder joints, etc.
Brass pen: Medium hardness, safe for softer metals (gold, silver, copper). Ideal for polishing jewellery, removing light stains and burrs.
Steel/Nylon pen: Steel brush for heavy rust removal, slag cleaning, rough surface finishing; nylon brush is gentler, suitable for cleaning delicate parts without scratching.
Ergonomic handle: Plastic or metal body, comfortable grip for precise force control.
Replaceable tips: Some models allow brush replacement, extending tool life.
Wide application: Watch repair, jewellery processing, electronics repair, model making, mould cleaning, etc.
Cost‑effective: Made in China, excellent value for daily repairs and DIY use.
Q1: Does the fiberglass pen shed fibres during use?
A: Yes. Fine glass fibres break off during abrasion, which is normal. Work in a well‑ventilated area and wear protective gear.
Q2: Can the brass pen be used on stainless steel cases?
A: Yes. Brass is softer than stainless steel and generally won’t scratch, but excessive pressure may leave fine marks. Test on a hidden area first.
Q3: Will the steel brush side of the steel/nylon pen rust?
A: Yes. Steel can rust if exposed to moisture. Wipe dry after use, store in a dry place, and apply a trace of anti‑rust oil if needed.
Q4: Can this set be used to clean watch dials?
A: The nylon brush can be used gently on dial edges, but fiberglass and brass may scratch the dial finish. Avoid using hard bristles on the front of the dial. Use a soft brush or Rodico putty for dials.
Q5: What if the fiberglass pen breaks?
A: The body is usually durable; only the bristles wear. If the body is damaged, replace the pen. If fibres become short, trim the tip with scissors to expose fresh fibres and continue using.
