This is a generic Winding Bridge (No. 3135-130) designed for the Rolex Caliber 3135 automatic movement. Positioned within the automatic winding module, this bridge provides the upper pivot support for the mainspring barrel and captures the setting-slide components of the winding stem.

Core Functions:
Within the automatic winding module, the bridge captures the two reversing wheels (red wheels) and the driving wheel for the ratchet wheel, forming the gear train that transmits rotor motion to the barrel. Its precisely jeweled holes support the upper pivots of the great wheel and third wheel, maintaining vertical alignment of the entire gear train.
It also acts as the cover for the keyless works, containing the sliding pinion and winding pinion while guiding crown rotation into the winding system.
A special retaining spring-clip on its underside captures the oscillating weight’s axle, preventing dislodgement during wear.

Q1: After tightening the screws, there’s a metallic scraping sound under the bridge when the balance wheel oscillates. What’s wrong?
A: The red reversing wheels’ Teflon coating has likely been scraped during installation, or the bridge has tilted under uneven screw torque. Stop immediately. Loosen the screws, recenter the wheels, and retighten in a star pattern. If noise persists, inspect for foreign debris.
Q2: The spring clip under the bridge won’t spring back; can I still use it?
A: Absolutely not. This spring is the sole lock preventing the rotor from flying off. A deformed spring will inevitably cause the rotor to detach under centrifugal force, smashing the bridge and gear train. Never reuse it. Replace with an identical new spring.
Q3: There’s some oily sludge near the automatic bridge; can I pick it out without removing the bridge?
A: Not recommended. The sludge contains abrasive deposits. Prying with a needle will only push particles deeper into the jewel recesses, accelerating pivot wear. The only safe method is to remove the bridge entirely and clean it in solvent.
