This is a generic stainless steel pusher for the Breguet Type XX reference 3800 chronograph, designed as a direct aftermarket replacement for the original start, stop, and reset buttons. Crafted from high-quality stainless steel, it restores the crisp and reliable operation of the pusher, which can be lost due to wear, corrosion, or mechanical failure. The Breguet Type XX 3800 is one of the brand‘s most iconic pilot’s chronographs, launched in 1995, and its “Flyback” chronograph function is a legendary symbol of aviation history.
Material & Finish: Made of high-quality stainless steel (Surgical 316L grade), offering excellent corrosion resistance and superior resistance to daily wear.
Precision Fit: Specifically designed for the Breguet Type XX 3800 case, with overall length, outer diameter, and thread specifications (Data Sheet 2.3mm, pitch 0.25mm) strictly matched to original factory specifications for direct replacement.
Generic Part: This is an aftermarket component, with an appearance designed to closely match the original, preserving the watch‘s classic military-aviation aesthetic.
Function: Used to operate the iconic Flyback chronograph function of the Type XX 3800. Press the pusher at 2 o’clock to start/stop the chronograph, and the pusher at 4 o’clock to reset (or to instantly reset and restart while the chronograph is running).
Watch Background: The Type XX 3800 has a case diameter of approximately 39mm, a lug width of 21mm, a screw-down crown, and 100m (10 ATM) water resistance. It is powered by Breguet’s in-house Caliber 582 automatic movement, which beats at 28,800 vph, has 25 jewels, and provides approximately 48 hours of power reserve.
Q1: The reset pusher on my Breguet Type XX 3800 isn‘t working – does it need to be replaced immediately?
A: Not necessarily. First, check for debris around the pusher. Clean it without forcing it. If it still fails, the internal spring may be fatigued, the gasket degraded, or the movement’s cam/clutch may be slipping. A proper diagnosis by a watchmaker is required.
Q2: After replacing the generic pusher, will my watch still be water resistant to 100m?
A: The pusher itself does not provide the seal. The Type XX 3800’s water resistance relies on separate O-rings in the pusher tube. If these are not replaced and lubricated, water resistance cannot be guaranteed. Always perform a pressure test after any case work.
Q3: Why is there no Breguet logo on the generic pusher? Will this affect the watch’s appearance?
A: This is a generic aftermarket part, and it does not carry the brand‘s hallmark. Its design and finishing are made to match the original aesthetic. Once installed, the visual difference is negligible.
